May have posted this already, but I love this cartoon.
It's a good comparison of the two generations. I know the whole "Occupy" movement is not what it was a few months ago, but this is still a valid and great cartoon that depicts how things have changed. If you look back at WWII days, while not everyone WANTED to go to war, a lot of people DID sign themselves up, and there was certainly a greater work ethic. Having watched some of the TV clips on Occupy Wall Street, it's ridiculous that people were demanding the government to pay for their education, their cars, whatever they felt like demanding the government to pay.
Granted, I do understand, to a point, why some people are growing frustrated. We are in the bust cycle of our boom-bust economy and naturally people are frustrated, and the government is the first organization that anyone will blame. It's the ruling we all fall under as Americans. It's only natural to blame them. However, the demands that people made were absolutely ridiculous. It's absurd that people think that the government should just pay their way through everything.
I could talk about this all day, but I'll stop here. It's somewhat pointless to keep discussing this topic, considering I just wanted to post the cartoon.
I was just thinking about this photographer the other day. He has some of the most amazing photos I've ever seen. I'm sure if he was still alive he would still be producing amazing photos.

On a different note, I saw "Underworld Awakening" over the weekend, which is the 4th installment in the series. Never saw the 3rd (unnecessary for understanding the general plot line, as the order goes 3, 1, 2, 4, with 3 being hundreds of years before 1), but 1 and 2 were both good, and the 4th continued the tradition. I will say it was the most violent, though, and I was a bit surprised by the level of violence that took place. It will be interesting to see a 5th, should they decide to pursue the plot line that surfaced in the end of this movie.
And now I must run to class.
